Book a Behaviour Consultation
I offer private behaviour consultations in your home.
My main focus is puppy development, adolescent behaviour, and fearful or anxious behaviours.
But I can also assist in:
Inappropriate toileting
Resource guarding
Separation Related Disorders
Excessive Barking
Reactivity
I also enjoy working with Cat caregivers and any behaviour problems they are experiencing with their feline friends.
Our consultation will be approximately 90 minutes, and I would like you to arrange for all family members who want to participate in the discussion to be there for the duration of the consultation.
In our consultation, I will take a complete history and discuss the possible causes and options for a behaviour modification program.
I will supply you with the consultation notes a few days after our consultation, including all the information and the possible behaviour modification plan we discussed.
At least one follow-up consultation is required, depending on the problem. Further follow-up consultations will be booked if and when required.
I might also suggest that your pet gets taken for a checkup to rule out any underlying medical conditions, or, if I think the issue is more serious, you might be referred to a Veterinary Behaviourist.
What to expect:
An in-depth discussion on the behaviour problem and the underlying emotions that might be causing the behaviour.
Notes on our session are usually available within 48 hours after our meeting.
I use the MHERA assessment in all my consultations.
MHERA™ stands for Mood, Hedonic Budget, Emotionality, and Reinforcement Analysis. It’s a compassionate, evidence-based approach to understanding behaviour through emotional context.
In-person consultations are available in the Perth Metropolitan area.
